Aboriginal Education At Chester Hill High School
Our vision for our Aboriginal students is to reach their full potential by providing high quality learning and engaging students in a nurturing environment.
We value our Aboriginal Families and work in partnership with the community and support agencies. Students have an appreciation of Aboriginal culture and are working together towards Reconciliation.
We work closely with the Darug Elder, Aunty Sandra Lee, and one of the Aboriginal community members, Mel Brown.
The students have their own classroom, The Dalarinji Room, meaning, in Darug, Ours, belonging to us.
Here, students have a computer, printer, aboriginal art and artifacts. Every Wednesday and Thursday students stay back in the Homework Centre to complete homework and assignments.
The school's Aboriginal Education is expressed through a variety of programmes.
